Doug Williams, Instructor/Trainer Doug is with the Orange County, CA Sheriff’s Department and currently supervises a fifteen-deputy, multiple-dog Bloodhound Team in Southern California. In this capacity, Doug has enjoyed great success working patrol with his Bloodhound partner "Taffy" in Orange County’s K-9 unit. Doug started his career in K-9 work training German Shepherds in Yuma AZ in 1983 and, after serving in the Marines Corps, joined the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department in 1990. Doug transferred to the Orange County Sheriff’s Department in 1994 and was soon accepted as a member of their High Risk Response Bloodhound Team. Doug used his former Military and Law Enforcement training to help develop tactics presently used by this team for "High Risk" criminal searches, and is also skilled in developing "backup teams" for other Departments with K-9 units Doug has a direct, yet patient approach in sharing his knowledge with other handlers. His years of experience working dogs on the streets of Southern California have made him a very astute and perceptive trainer. Our students benefit greatly from Doug’s experience as an EXTREME K-9 Instructor. |
