Jack Shuler, Adjunct Instructor/TrainerJack Shuler

Jack has worked as an Instructor/Trainer with EXTREME K-9 for many years. He has been training Bloodhounds for law enforcement and search & rescue for over 30 years.  Jack is a remote collar trainer and the founder of Jack Shuler Mantrailing Training.  Prior to his retirement from law enforcement, Jack had worked his dogs on over 1,600 cases.

He is former Instructor of the National Police Bloodhound Association (NPBA), a former Instructor for Virginia Bloodhound Search & Rescue (VBSAR), and is Professional member #1367 of the International Association of Canine Professionals. He is the author of the book, "Police K-9 Unit Tactical Operations"

Jack is an approved Instructor by the Illinois Law Enforcement Training & Standards Board in:

    • Remote Collar Training for K-9 Reliability
    • Police K-9 Unit Tactical Operations

Jack has been a deputy sheriff since the early 80’s and served as a reserve officer for a local municipality for 19 years.  Jack’s experience has led to the development of his highly effective Police K-9 Unit Tactical Operations Course.  He has testified in numerous court cases, as well as serving as an expert witness.  Jack is an author, speaker, breeder and trainer, and currently serves EXTREME K-9 as a Mantrailing Instructor throughout the United States and abroad.
