Doug is with the Orange County, CA Sheriff’s Department and supervises a fifteen-deputy, multiple-dog Bloodhound Team in southern California. In this capacity, Doug has enjoyed great success working patrol with his Bloodhound partner "Taffy" in Orange County’s K-9 unit. He now works a
Belgian Malinois named Luna as a narcotics detection K-9. Doug started his career in K-9 work training German Shepherds in Yuma, AZ in 1983 and, after serving in the Marines Corps, joined the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department in 1990. Doug’s personable manner, wide range of training skills, and extensive experience with search dogs are invaluable to our students.
