I am the owner of a one year old wire fox terrier, Ozzy. Like most wires, Ozzy was uncontrollable and destructive. He pulled on his leash when walked and I could not control his behavior. I was getting very frustrated and didn't know what to do. I did some research on the internet and discovered Extreme K-9. After meeting withe Behesha Doan, I decided to enroll him in their two week residency program. After the two weeks, I was amazed. Ozzy listens, walks with me with a loose leash. His desctructive behavior has stopped as well. The aftercare they provide is wonderful and has helped keep Ozzy and me on track. I highly recommend Behesha and her staff!

Just want to express my sentiments about training by Behesha Doan at Extreme K-9 in Carbondale. She worked with my American Pit Bull Terrier, Percy, (who she identified as 75% deaf) and with myself. Excellent combination of discipline and love. Before, he was loving but totally uncontrolled: After, he is obedient, eager to please, and still loving. He will stay in a down position with a dozen other dogs (including several other A.P.B.T's and Bully mixes) without even looking around, much less trying to get up. He walks on a lead with out pulling and will stop on command. Numerous people he has met in public have commented on what a gentleman he is and how polite. Can not thank Behesha enough and Percy (the Love bug) sends his love.

In 2005 I began training my second search and rescue K9 "Sula", a female Redbone Coonhound. Although I had been working and training SAR dogs for about 8 years, "Sula" was the first K9 that I trained for trailing. About 9 months into her training I was struggling to understand what she was trying to tell me and how to focus her endless drive and energy to trail. I attended my first Mega Trailing Week and in a matter of days I saw tremendous improvements in both "Sula" AND me! I was so impressed with the level of skill, knowledge and ability to share that with students that I attended a second Mega Trailing Week about 9 months later to further hone our skills. Today Sula is a skilled trailing dog (as well as human remains detection) certified with the International Police Work Dog Association and has participated in numerous search missions throughout Illinois and even abroad. I know that we would not be where we are today as a team without the amazing training and support we receive from Behesha and her staff, thank you!!!

When our older dog passed away, two of our Golden Retrievers began to fight viciously. This is when we turned to Behesha Doan. Not only was the dog fighting brought under control, but our dogs were now behaving in a manner we could not have envisioned. Based on our experience, we highly recommend Behesha to any dog owner. We consulted her because of the extreme issue of fighting, but in hindsight, if we had known what we could accomplish in correcting the everyday behavior of our dogs, we would have worked with her for that benefit alone. Last night after dinner I walked into the family room and saw my two golden girls snuggled together. I never thought I would see them like this again. Thank you, Behesha! Thank you! This would not have been possible without you.

Frustrated with Heidi, an adorable, but "uppity" new German Shepherd rescue, we turned to Extreme K-9 for help. Within the first hour of working with Behesha, I knew we had come to the right place. Behesha and her team worked with us and turned a willful, leash-pulling, cat chasing German Shepherd into a well mannered companion, that walks perfectly at heel and reliably comes when we call her. It's a great feeling when you walk through a crowd of people and your Shepherd is under total control. Even the cats like her now!

WOW!! The transformation was amazing - not only in Raiderette, but in myself too. I used many of the techniques Behesha taught in my everyday life. I see things in a whole new light. Thank you.
