EXTREME K-9’s training philosophy is founded on extensive research into the history of the canine and sharp insight into the process of how dogs learn. At Extreme K-9, we focus on meeting the needs of the dog through our unique Whole Dog Approach to training. The Whole Dog Approach is a distinctive training approach which mirrors how dogs communicate and relate in their own environment. Our students learn to address all aspects of the dog’s needs including temperament, psychology, pack-structure, genetics, and drives. By illustrating how all these elements come into play during training we educate each student in how to know when the dog is learning most efficiently. Our success in accurately assessing dogs and their behavior, developing a training plan to address and rehabilitate difficult problems, and our effective communication style with dog owners has produced a demand for a Trainers Academy.

All of EXTREME K-9’s Trainer's Academies have been created to coach our students to recognize and identify a wide range of canine interactions and behaviors, while significantly enhancing and developing their training skills. Our students learn insightful techniques for developing clarity of thought in the dogs they train and learn how to effectively instruct using our Whole Dog Approach.
